We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and experienced Family Support Worker to join our SEND in Mind service — an exciting, dynamic, and responsive service for families in Wandsworth who have a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This well-respected service is known for its ability to adapt to the changing needs of families and work collaboratively across the community.
You will:
* Work directly with families, building trust and offering tailored support that meets their unique needs and circumstances.
* Support children and young people with SEND to access the right services, opportunities, and resources.
* Collaborate with commissioners, schools, local authority teams, and voluntary sector partners to ensure families receive coordinated, joined-up support.
* Focus on improving outcomes, reducing inequalities, and making sure the service is accessible to those who may find it hard to engage.
* Bring empathy, creativity, and problem-solving skills to support families from a wide range of backgrounds.
You are:
* Passionate about supporting families and improving the lives of children and young people with SEND.
* Skilled in building strong, respectful relationships with families and professionals alike.
* Organised, adaptable, and able to manage a varied workload.
