Job Description
·We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and enhance critical business applications built on Oracle technologies.
·The ideal candidate will act as a software detective by identifying and resolving system issues, improving application performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
·The role requires strong expertise in Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle ADF, and PL/SQL, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
·Provide application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for critical business systems.
·Analyse system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
·Develop, maintain, and support applications using Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle ADF.
·Write and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and database queries.
·Support modernization and integration of legacy Oracle applications with newer platforms.
·Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in WebLogic or Oracle middleware environments.
·Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to enhance system functionality.
·Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and technical processes for future reference.
·Provide training and technical guidance to team members on system updates and enhancements.
·Follow SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing best practices during application support activities.
Requirements
·Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports development.
·Experience in Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework).
·Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and Oracle Database development.
·Knowledge of application support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
·Familiarity with WebLogic or Oracle middleware technologies.
·Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and structured testing practices.
·Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
