Customer Service Consultant
Location: Victory House, Brighton, BN1 4FY
Employment: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday shifts between 8.00am – 5.00pm (options: 8‑4, 8:30‑4:30, 9‑5).
Salary: £26,400 plus £500 increase upon completion of probation.
Training: 8‑week training programme; hybrid working available after training with one day per week in the office.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring an exceptional customer experience for UK and international customers by swiftly and accurately responding to and resolving all customer requests and queries.
* Supporting customer enquiries through inbound and outbound calls, ensuring each customer has a great experience whether it’s the first call of the day or the last.
* Pre‑authorising or declining treatment in line with Bupa policy coverage, signposting platinum providers and booking appointments using our care pathways framework, responding with empathy at all times.
* Accurately maintaining our customer database, recording all conversations and outcomes.
* Maintaining high professional standards at all times and abiding by all regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Background in the global health insurance market, or transferable skills and knowledge from Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management.
* Previous experience in a contact centre setting is beneficial.
* A track record of achieving and exceeding productivity and quality targets.
* Highly customer‑focused with excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
