An opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join our team of skilled and dedicated support staff.
Horsell C of E Junior school has an excellent record for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and an innovative approach to supporting vulnerable learners. Our SEND provision is highly valued by our parents, and was praised in our recent OFSTED inspection. We recognise the vital role that our support staff play in the positive outcomes that our children achieve, and pride ourselves on developing the individual talents of all members of staff. At Horsell C of E Junior school we are proud of the calm and purposeful environment at our school, and the excellent behaviour of our pupils.
As a member of the TA team, you will benefit from weekly training from the headteacher, dedicated administration time at the end of the school day, a welcoming staff room, access to the school swimming pool, and working in a school with high expectations for all. As a member of support staff, you will also be a member of our 'Play Team', whose role it is to lead lunchtime play across the school. As a new member of the team, we will provide you with targeted CPD and an induction programme designed to help you quickly become part of our school family.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and a range of extracurricular activities. We have a supportive parent community that values education and works in partnership with the school. Our children are articulate, curious and enthusiastic, and are eager to learn and share their views.
The school has large classrooms, a music room and children’s kitchen. The extensive grounds include a swimming pool, cricket nets, gym equipment and a new play area.
The hours are 8.30am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday (31.25 hours) 38.6 weeks of the year (38 weeks plus 3 INSET days)
