We are currently recruiting for a Production (Filling) Operative to join our Minsterley site, to operate and run designated lines, achieve daily operations targets and maintain GMP standards.Contract - Permanent / Full TimeLocation - Minsterley - SY5 0BN (Shrewsbury)Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts, days and nights 6-6Salary- £32,011 per annumThe ideal candidate will have experience managing production lines, problem solving, fault findings within a food manufacturing environment and have a high level of attention to detail.Key responsibilities will include:Supports to deliver the daily production plan for the line during shift workedOperates plant/equipment, carrying out routine basic maintenanceUnderstands and works to achieve/exceed daily KPI targetsEnsures availability of materials and packagingWorks with Key Operators to carry out start up procedures, ensuring good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout productionEnsures an effective hand over between shifts, remaining on line until relief takes overMonitors product quality, highlighting non conformance and taking appropriate corrective actionEnsures SIC and Quality information is accurate, complete and timelyCompletes all documentation, ensuring up to date and availableTrains operators, ensuring competence to perform allocated jobsLeads by example encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of Company values and cultureComply with food safety requirements, effectively control CCPs and adhere to site quality proceduresMaintaining Line/Area GMP standards looking to constantly improveTake reasonable care for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others that may be affected by their acts or omissionsTo carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructedActively promote and comply with all Company Policies, Procedures and ValuesKey skills & experienceProblem identification and communication in a timely manorWorking on high speed / High volume machines and plantPrioritisation of daily tasksPrevious machine experience from within a fast moving production environment is desirableTeamwork & CollaborationRight First Time ( produces product to the required standard minimizing finished goods waste )Controlling material lossesAdherence to Standards (GMP)H&S Statistics (e.g. Accidents and Near Misses)A good listener/communicatorAble to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skillsBenefitsCompetitive salaryUp to 5% bonus paid yearly45 min paid breakHealth care cash plan2x life assurance282 hours of holidayEnhanced overtime ratesAt Mller, we're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong.
