We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly seeking ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
You will ensure that your store remains a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities:
* Serve customers with passion and pride, providing natural service.
* Encourage customer feedback through surveys.
* Work across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practice safe working methods as per training.
* Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events.
* Understand store performance and contribute to profit delivery.
* Live the company values, be welcoming, and follow policies.
* Clock in and out accurately for payroll.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment.
* Follow the 'think 25' policy for age-restricted products.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* May be responsible for shift leadership in absence of managers.
* If applicable, undertake Post Office operations and pass necessary background checks.
