How You'll Make a Difference
As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will provide a comprehensive business and administration service to the Social Care team in North Locality, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements in a changing environment.
Our team makes a real difference, working alongside professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people within South Gloucestershire. Your work supports the team, council, and partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable families.
What You Will Be Doing
* Act as a main contact for the service area, providing effective communication for enquiries and information requests.
* Provide administrative support to managers, including minute-taking for meetings.
* Research information, collate evidence for reports, and draft document sections.
* Maintain records, analyze information, and interpret data from systems.
* Communicate concerns and queries accurately and promptly.
* Assist in monitoring budgets, financial information, and resources.
What We Need From You
* Minimum GCSE A*-C (or grade 4-9) in English and Maths or equivalent.
* Good IT skills, including Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Drive and willingness to learn and gain your qualification.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in handling contact channels.
* Experience with basic financial procedures is advantageous.
What You Need To Know
* Candidates reaching the interview stage must give a 10-minute presentation.
* Interviews are scheduled for 5th and 6th June 2025 at Patchway Locality Hub.
* Throughout the 18-month apprenticeship, a workplace mentor will support your Level 3 Business Administration qualification, with weekly learning at SGS College, Filton.
* This is an 18-month limited-term contract.
* The salary is set at the current National Minimum Wage, depending on age:
