The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.
No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
About the opportunity
As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
While completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2), you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties will include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing healthcare advice to support patients' health and wellness.
This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants and candidates outside the UK without relevant UK qualifications and right to work will not be considered.
Key responsibilities:
1. Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
2. Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
3. Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services alongside healthcare professionals.
4. Provide advice about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
5. Follow SOPs to ensure legal and safe dispensing of prescriptions.
6. Stay updated with store innovations and operational processes.
7. Support patients in managing their prescriptions to promote adherence and reduce waste.
You will have opportunities to work with new systems to improve patient safety and efficiency, along with ongoing training and career development options, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.
What you’ll need to have:
1. A desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
2. Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
