You will help ensure equipment, infrastructure, and work areas are safe, clean, and fully operational, enabling efficient production while maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and health & safety.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out general maintenance and repair work across production, warehouse, and site areasAssist with basic repairs to machinery, fixtures, and fittings to minimise downtimeMaintain floors, walls, and work surfaces, ensuring a safe and well-kept environmentSupport the installation, movement, and setup of equipment and production linesPerform routine building maintenance, including minor structural and surface repairsMaintain external areas such as yards, walkways, fencing, and drainage systemsCarry out cleaning duties including power washing and upkeep of waste areasUndertake basic plumbing, joinery, painting, and general repair tasksEnsure all work is completed in line with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standardsIdentify and report hazards, defects, and maintenance issues while minimising disruption to production operations. Liaise effectively with external contractors to ensure safe working practices and optimal technical solutions.This list is not exhaustive.Essential CriteriaBasic maintenance training or proven experience in a handyman, facilities, or production environmentExperience carrying out general maintenance and repairs (e.g., basic plumbing, joinery, painting)Experience working in a production, industrial, or facilities environmentKnowledge of health & safety practices in the workplaceStrong attention to detail.Ability to identify and resolve general maintenance issuesAbility to use hand and power tools safelyDesirable CriteriaRelevant certifications (e.g., Manual Handling, Working at Height, COSHH Awareness, First Aid)Experience within a food production or FMCG environmentKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP awareness)Basic understanding of production equipment and machinery maintenanceIT literacy for reporting maintenance tasksWillingness to learn and develop new skillsPositive attitude towards continuous improvementSkills:Maintenance Handyman ProductionWHJS1_NI
