An international Pharmaceutical & Healthcarepany based in Burgess Hill, Sussex. Offering hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office (variable days) to a thoroughly experienced Data Privacy Specialist for this interim assignment -6 months initially.
Your new role
1. Implement and maintain the privacy framework, ensuringpliance with applicable privacy legislation and internalernance
2. Lead local data privacy initiatives, including training, awareness campaigns, and risk management programmes
3. Conduct and oversee DPIAs and ensure privacy by design in all projects and processes
4. Manage personal data breaches and incidents, including investigation, remediation, and reporting
5. Oversee DSARs and ensurepliance with individual rights under data protection law.
6. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and privacy documentation
7. Facilitate localernance groups
8. Promote a strong culture ofpliance and data protection across the organisation
What you'll need to succeed
9. Proven experience in data privacy or a similar field, ideally within a regulated environment
10. You will ideally be CIPP qualified or hold another recognised privacy certification.
11. Experience in delivering data privacypliance frameworks and/or programmes.
12. You will ideally have experience in wider informationernance practices – especially ISO 27001.
13. In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, in particular EU GDPR, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
14. You will ideally have a background in the Pharmaceutical/ Healthcare/NHS sectors, although other industry backgrounds will be considered.
15. Experience in emerging technologies such as AI and the evolving legislative framework is desirable but not essential.

Excellent pay rate £55-65ph via umbrellapany in scope of IR35
