Tate is working with a well‑established manufacturing business in Hitchin that is seeking an accomplished HR Advisor (CIPD Level 3 minimum) to provide additional support during a period of increased workload.
This is a six‑month temporary assignment offering immediate start, weekly pay, and the chance to visit the site and meet the client before committing to the role.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the HR function with both administrative and advisory tasks, including:
Absence & Timekeeping
Managing the absence spreadsheet and updating records
Supporting absence management processes, including associates absent over 4 weeks
Producing file notes and assisting with disciplinary cases
Supporting managers with poor timekeeping issuesOccupational Health Support
Coordinating annual health surveillance scheduling
Updating databases following OH assessments
Uploading management referrals to a OH platform
Liaising with their Occ Health Provider and managing OHN diary appointmentsSystems & Data Management
Updating Workday and ADP (shift pattern changes, password resets, RFID changes)
Managing the HR Hitchin inbox and responding to queries
Monthly visa checks
Issuing All Hands registersEmployee Relations Support
Supporting managers with:
Grievances
Disciplinaries
Investigations
Providing accurate HR guidance in line with company policiesGeneral HR Administration
Maintaining accurate records
Supporting HR projects and workload peaks
Ensuring all documentation is handled confidentiallyWhat We're Looking For:
CIPD Level 3 (minimum)
HR advisory confidence and experience
Manufacturing industry background (preferably)
Confident, organised and comfortable working onsite in a busy HR environment
Someone proactive, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing priorities
Experience of WorkDay, or similar software and confidence with Excel What's On Offer:
