Job Overview
We are looking to add to our baking team either a skilled and passionate Baker Or someone who home bakes and would like to progress their journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods that meet our quality standards and delight our customers.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including buns & doughnuts, cakes, Brownies, cookies, pastries and more
* Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with management to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
* Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to enhance baking skills.
* This role may also entail setting up the store ready for the day depending on the hours you work
* All responsibilities are not limited to the above.
Skills
* Proficient in kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
* Experience in culinary arts with a focus on baking is preferred but not essential
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
* A creative mindset with the ability to innovate new recipes and presentations.
* Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
