Field Support Engineer
Location: Huntingdon / Cambridge
Travel: Global travel ~1 week per month
What you’ll do
You’ll support customers in developing and using Xaar’s inkjet technology, acting as the main technical contact from early development through to product launch and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
* Support customers with integration of Xaar inkjet technology
* Provide technical support before and after sales
* Visit customer sites to assist with development and troubleshoot issues
* Install, service, and support print systems (including operator training)
* Diagnose and resolve technical problems with equipment
* Track progress, update systems (e.g. CRM), and report findings
* Work with internal teams and partners to deliver solutions
* Help improve customer experience and provide product feedback
Role Scope
* Direct impact on customer satisfaction and product success
* Work on projects lasting 3 months to 1 year
* Respond to technical queries (typically within 1 day)
* Represent Xaar globally (remote and on-site)
What we’re looking for
* Engineering/science qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
* Experience in a customer-facing technical role
* Strong troubleshooting skills (electromechanical systems)
* Ability to work independently in varied environments
* Clear communication and problem-solving skills
* Commercial awareness
Desirable
* Experience with digital inkjet systems
