Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Thurrock) Salary: £50,000 plus, depending on experience Our client, a specialist provider of residential care for children and young people, is expanding and opening its second home in Thurrock. They’re looking for an experienced, dedicated Registered Manager to lead this new service from the ground up. About the Role As Registered Manager, you will: * Hold statutory accountability for the home’s compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations * Provide visible leadership, promoting a positive culture that puts children’s safety, wellbeing and outcomes at the centre of everything we do * Oversee the development, implementation and review of care plans tailored to each young person’s needs * Recruit, train and supervise a highly committed team of support workers * Manage the home’s budget, resources and facilities to deliver high-quality care * Build strong relationships with local authorities, families, stakeholders and partner agencies Candidate Requirements * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent management qualification) * Registered (or eligible to register) with Ofsted as a manager of a children’s home * Proven track record of successful home management, demonstrating strong governance and excellent Ofsted outcomes * Comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed practice, safeguarding legislation and regulatory frameworks * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff * Resilient, solution-focused and committed to continual service improvement What We Offer * Competitive salary of £50,000 plus, depending on experience * Supportive senior leadership and a clear professional development pathway * Generous annual leave allowance plus bank holidays * Company pension scheme and employee assistance programme * Access to ongoing training, coaching and peer networking opportunities
