Ward 21 is a 19 bed Hyper acute Stroke & Rehabilitation Unit. Successful candidates will receive training in all aspects of Stroke care, including diagnostic assessments and Thrombolysis treatment.
The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care programs to ensure high-quality patient care.
The post holder is expected to perform all relevant care activities independently. They may also supervise registered and unregistered staff, including student nurses.
Duties may vary based on ward type and patient dependency levels.
After 2 years of post-registration experience, additional responsibilities include directing and supervising staff within the ward or department to promote best practices in patient care.
In the absence of senior staff, the post holder will provide cover to ensure effective ward/department operation.

Based in Stroke Ward at University Hospital Monklands with a rotational schedule.
