Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team at a leading golf professional retail shop. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining effective merchandising standards, driving sales, and ensuring efficient stock control. Main Responsibilities
Customer Service: Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all customers, assisting them in finding the products they need.
Merchandising: Ensure the shop floor is well-presented at all times, with attractive and effective product displays that maximise sales opportunities.
Sales: Proactively engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend products, aiming to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Stock Control: Receive, check, and organise incoming stock deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and assist with stocktakes to maintain accurate records.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories to provide informed recommendations.
General Housekeeping: Ensure the shop remains clean, tidy, and safe for both customers and staff.
Required Skills and Experience
Previous retail experience, preferably in a sports or specialist shop (desirable but not essential).
Strong merchandising skills, with an eye for detail in product presentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to deliver sales and provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
Passion for golf and willingness to learn about new products and trends in the sport.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
