Lingfield College Prep Music Department is seeking a passionate and skilled peripatetic Brass Teacher to work in our Prep School, starting January 2026.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach individual lessons in all grades from beginner to advanced and will be comfortable teaching a range of brass instruments. We are fortunate to be able to offer trumpet, cornet, trombone and French Horn lessons at present, with a range of instruments available for children to hire. In addition to teaching and preparing Prep School pupils for ABRSM exams and performances, the role will involve running a weekly brass ensemble group at the Prep School, as well as writing reports, attending evening concerts and INSET courses when required.
The role is currently for one half day of teaching, with a view to increasing awareness and inspiring more pupils to take up brass tuition through live performances and demonstrations in assemblies. The hourly rate of pay is £46 per hour.
