The DQE works cross-functionally with engineering, industrialization, and purchasing to implement quality requirements, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement. A strong emphasis is placed on ensuring an efficient application of the development process and its milestones, a robust management of deviations, and the effective implementation of the APQP approach. Key Responsibilities will include: - Consolidate development project inputs in the early stages, and support the elaboration of the Project Development Plan - Ensure that internal and external requirements are taken into account - Ensure that lessons learned from previous projects (cross-functional feedback) are leveraged - Lead the APQP risk analysis at the beginning of the project. Contribute to the identification of risks and opportunities related to design, industrialization, support, and services development - Ensure that the maturity of project technologies is assessed and the related risks are evaluated - Define the Development Quality Assurance Plan for the project - Define quality targets for the project and corresponding performance indicators - Contribute to the project performance - Foster co-engineering. Ensure that the product design integrates early in the process the requirements related to industrialization, support, and service (e.g., maintainability and repairability) - Implement the Development Quality Assurance Plan - Consolidate quality performance indicators and implement corresponding action plans - Manage the APQP timeline, coordinate deliverables maturity assessments and corresponding action plans. Ensure quality of deliverables - Support development teams in the implementation of APQP core tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and PPAP) - Contribute to defining and flow-downing APQP requirements towards suppliers - Contribute with Technical Audit to Master Engineering Reviews preparation and to their pass/fail status assessment. Define recommendations accordingly - Foster lessons learned capitalization - Ensure application of the Safran Seats Develop process and propose improvements - Promote the Develop process, control its proper application and support the development teams on this process - Lead some root causes analyses for non quality events in Development, with the aim of preventing reoccurrence - Contribute to continuous improvement of the Development Quality function - Propose and implement improvements in processes, methods and tools for the Development Quality function and more generally for the Develop process - Perform benchmarks with other entities But what else? Candidate skills & requirements Candidate skills: Master's degree in engineering or equivalent Experience in a development quality or product development role (design, industrialization) Knowledge Quality standards (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100) Ability to interpret technical documentation (drawings, specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems (Windchill, SAP, M3, etc.) and quality software (ETQ or similar) Hands-on experience in deploying core quality tools: FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Strong understanding of quality principles and problem-solving methodologies Knowledge of One Safran and internal Business Processes We are committed to building a workforce that is reflective of the diverse community we serve.
