Health and Safety Advisor

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Full-Time)

£45,000 – £50,000 per annum

Based near Horsham (with site travel)

Business Unit Managers & Group H&S Manager
Role Summary
This is a temporary opportunity to support Group-wide Health & Safety compliance and improvement. The postholder will assist in maintaining the Health & Safety Management System, ensuring legal compliance, conducting audits, promoting safe practices, and supporting operational teams across various sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Support implementation and monitoring of the H&S Management System
* Conduct internal audits, inspections, and site visits
* Carry out risk assessments and assist in RAMS development
* Lead or support incident investigations and reporting
* Monitor and report on H&S performance and statistics
* Deliver toolbox talks and internal H&S training
* Liaise with external auditors, clients, and subcontractors
* Support H&S input into project tenders and meetings
Requirements
* NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); Diploma-level qualification desirable
* Relevant H&S experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and HSE guidance
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* CSCS Card and UK Driving Licence required
