Job Description: Location: Stanford le Hope, Essex SS17 Join us as a trailer mechanic and help us deliver what matters by keeping our vehicles on the roads. The size and diversity of our fleet means you'll have the opportunity to develop and expand your mechanical skills help repair and maintain light vans, tractor and trailer units and our growing alternative fuel fleet. If you're a car mechanic, we'll offer training so you can learn how to repair HGVS, too. Your benefits: Well pay you £18.38 per hour (location allowance of £1.12 included) depending on your experience, plus shift premiums on late hours (if applicable). Responding to daily trailer condition reports supplied by drivers. Following regular maintenance schedules and updating computer records. Responding in a timely fashion to break down calls. Accurate stock control using computerized systems. Work as a team in order to achieve reliability and maintenance targets. Shift: Split shift weekly rotation - 6:30am to 3pm, 2:45pm to 11:15pm What youll need: City and guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics. Experience of working with commercial vehicles including LGVS. Basic computer literacy skills. Able to work on own initiative and prioritize accordingly. Full UK driving license held for at least 2 years. A LGV class 1 license would be an advantage but is not essential. Flexible, friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
