Our client is a leading specialist contractor in the Independent Connection Provider (ICP) space, delivering high-voltage and low-voltage power network solutions across the UK. With a strong reputation for innovation and quality, they are expanding their commercial team to support continued growth in the energy infrastructure sector.
You will be doing:
As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of commercial management across multiple power network projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure financial control, contract compliance, and successful delivery.
Your responsibility’s will be:
1. Oversee all commercial aspects of power network projects from inception to completion
Prepare and manage cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
2. Lead contract negotiations and manage subcontractor procurement
3. Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and risk assessments
4. Ensure compliance with NEC and other relevant contract frameworks
5. Provide strategic input to support business growth and profitability
You will have:
6. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in utilities, power, or infrastructure sectors
7. Strong knowledge of NEC or FIDIC or JCT contracts and commercial best practices
8. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
9. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline or significant commercial experience
10. Full UK driving licence
