Clinical Lead GP required at Thornton Road Surgery
Thornton Road Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner Clinical Lead.
The Clinical Lead GP will report to the Regional Medical Director and be responsible for leading and managing the practice to improve performance in partnership with the Practice Manager. They will oversee overall practice performance to deliver care aligned with contracted values, locally and nationally enhanced schemes. The role also involves representing AT Medics at locality and GP Federation meetings.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Lead GP include:
* Collaborating with the practice manager to meet all CQC, local, and contracted requirements.
* Partnering with the wider corporate team to promote and deliver best practice care.
* Developing and managing clinicians within the practice, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and AHPs, and recruiting team members in line with budgets and establishment.
* Ensuring investigations of SEAs and incidents are conducted appropriately, with feedback provided, fostering a strong safety culture.
* Innovating and planning for future care delivery in line with the GP Forward View and 10 Year Plan.
The Clinical Lead will work flexibly, including management sessions, and lead on key disease areas such as monitoring trends in the Quality and Outcomes Framework, Diabetes Care, immunisation and screening uptake, local KPIs, staff training, and prescribing. They will also help develop healthcare services for a diverse patient population, utilizing NHS Choices, GP Patient Survey, patient participation, and health promotion initiatives.
Supported by clinical and management teams, the post holder will act as the Clinical Lead within the practice and be part of a broader clinical network across multiple practices.
