Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our controller to ensure our equipment is always operational and ready for our customers. Your role will involve:
* Timely and efficient maintenance: Conduct routine and preventative maintenance servicing and machine inspections.
* Proactive problem-solving: Identify potential issues that could affect equipment availability.
* Safety ambassador: Promote safety for yourself and our customers while servicing our products.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Carry out routine servicing of equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines (75% of your time).
* Machine Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical analysis of machine conditions, highlighting any developing issues (20% of your time).
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs identified during inspections and install telematic systems (5% of your time).

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role, and it’s essential that you have held a full driving license for at least 2 years. You’ll work 43 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule and the occasional Saturday at an overtime rate.
Who We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics.
* Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years) or a formal apprenticeship qualification.
* A commitment to high standards and safety.
