The Financial Crime Regulatory Engagement team within the broader Financial Crime Risk, Control and Transformation Oversight function is responsible for supporting FC-related regulatory submissions and engagements globally. The team supports local MLROs across Barclays in drafting and tailoring regulatory responses through ad-hoc engagements or periodic submissions to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging.
You will be an experienced financial crime professional with deep knowledge of financial crime risk management practices and experience operating across multiple regulatory regimes. Your role involves supporting notifications and submissions to regulators.
To be successful as a Regulatory Engagement VP, you should have:
* Strong understanding of financial crime risk management, including processes and controls
* Experience in drafting notifications/briefings for senior/external audiences
* Experience operating across multiple regulatory regimes

To provide strategic advice and guidance on regulatory engagement, managing the bank’s interactions with regulators and ensuring constructive relationships.

* Coordinate all regulatory requests, reviews, examinations, responses, and notifications, collaborating with relevant Accountable Executives for timely delivery.
* Advise and brief internal stakeholders on regulatory engagement, record all interactions, and forward actions to relevant parties.
* Provide insightful and timely MI on regulatory engagement and priorities.
* Identify emerging themes and issues, escalating as needed.
* Model the firm's ambitions of Excellence in all regulatory engagements.
* Share information across regions to optimize the firm's global regulatory profile.
* Monitor and evaluate regulatory relationships, ensuring timely advice and remedial actions.
