The IT Infrastructure team supports a complex manufacturing environment across the UK and Spain, working closely with key stakeholders such as the Site Leadership Team, Plant Management, and HR. With around 20‑25 colleagues, the team ensures the stability, security, and continuous improvement of site wide IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, end user devices, and production IT systems. Daily work combines operational IT support with infrastructure monitoring and light project management for upgrades and replacements. The role offers exposure beyond classic desktop support, providing an excellent opportunity to grow into infrastructure focused responsibilities within a collaborative, international team.
Responsibilities

* Production Support – Maintain and oversee the manufacturing site’s IT production infrastructure: shop floor PC clients, network infrastructure, and manufacturing IT equipment.
* Infrastructure Management – Manage servers, networks, databases, and hardware components to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and reliability.
* Global Team Membership – After successful training, the candidate may join an optional global infrastructure team (e.g., Server, Network, Storage) to further develop skills.
* Troubleshooting and Support – Respond to technical issues, diagnose problems, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime. Collaborate with on‑site teams to address infrastructure‑related concerns.
* Security and Compliance – Implement and enforce security protocols and best practices to safeguard sensitive manufacturing data, ensure compliance with industry standards, and protect against cybersecurity threats.
* Documentation – Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation related to IT infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures for knowledge sharing and ease of access.
* Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance IT infrastructure efficiency, performance, and cost‑effectiveness, and propose and implement solutions to optimize workflows.
