About The Role
The Practice Improvement Officer will be responsible for improving and influencing social care practice across the authority.
In this role, you will undertake practice improvement activity informed by audit findings such as the design and delivery of breakfast briefings, lunch time learning, and staff engagement events.
The role will supportconsistency enabling a shared understanding what good looks like through coaching and role modelling.
Key Responsibilities
Provide and share learning materials based on themes and practice issues arising from quality assurance activity to improve services for children and families in Bolton.
Support in the development and delivery of Boltons career entry and career progression pathways through bespoke programmes such as apprenticeships, Frontline, and Greater Manchesters Return to Social Work programmes.
Collaboratewith children and families tounderstandquality of practice.
Contribute and engage the workforce in the continuous development of our learning culture, specifically around ensuring quality assurance activity influences practice.
Support in the design and delivery of responsive training and learning activity including delivery of training across the workforce.
Provide coaching to practitioners to enable them to understand audit findings and improve as well develop practice.
Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation and adhere to organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct to uphold a high-quality seamless service alongside identifying own continuing professional development needs and strive to meet these.
Influence practice standards and training to meet service need.
About You
You willbe an experienced and reflective practitioner with a commitment to strength-based, child centred practice
You will have strong understanding legislation and research relevant to the role and take responsibility for own learning, identifying gaps in knowledge and researching for relevant materials
You will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and their families
You are knowledgeable and passionate about the application of relational and restorative practice approaches
Experience ofsupportingthe development of a learning culture and influencing the learning and development of others to improve practice including the development of students, newly qualified social workers and other practitioners
Qualifications and Experience
Post qualification experience of statutory social work, including experience of working with professional staff tosupportthem to deliver high quality work.
Recognised Social Work Qualification
Registration with Social Work England
Advanced IT skills
Practice Educator qualification/supervisory experience preferred
Duration-6 months
Full-time post 37 hour per week
We operate a hybrid working arrangement, however candidates must be able to be office based in Bolton to meet service needs.
Free on-site parking
