On behalf of our client we have an excellent opportunity in the technical sales team of this rapidly growing business for an experienced Field-based Area Sales Engineer with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join the team of this first-class business.
Responsibilities
* Sell a full range of high quality Industrial Control and Automation products, including Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, PLC, HMI, Enclosures, Cable Management and consumables, and Process Instrumentation.
* Provide customised and packaged solutions into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets across the M62/M180 corridor, West Yorkshire, and parts of Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
* Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to meet objectives by managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts and identifying new avenues of business.
* Be flexible with road travel as this is an external sales role; work Monday to Friday around normal office hours.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a degree of autonomy.
* Utilise Microsoft packages to support sales activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a proven sales record.
* A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline is desirable but not essential; the ability to demonstrate knowledge and sales skill is required.
* Ideally has benefited from further career development training to enhance sales skills.
