This is a permanent, full-time role that can be based at our London Moorgate Campus.
We are looking for a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with practical dispute resolution experience to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Dispute Resolution.
Responsibilities
* Teach and provide a high standard of tuition across the BPC.
* Support the design and administration of the Higher Rights of Audience assessment.
* Invigilate and mark assessments and examinations, including practical assessments.
* Update programmes to reflect developments in teaching and delivery practices, including online and blended programmes.
* Participate in student recruitment and business development activities as required.
Key Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with substantial practice/chamber experience.
* Practical dispute resolution experience, including experience as a Higher Courts advocate.
* Experience delivering advocacy training and vocational or professional training to qualified lawyers on CPD programmes.
* High level of enthusiasm, motivation, excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Flexibility to travel nationally to deliver courses and attend events at venues outside the campus.
Lecturer Requirements
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
* Completion of required teaching programme within 12 months of passing probation.
Senior Lecturer Requirements
* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
* Relevant teaching qualification.

Starting salary ranges:
* Lecturer: £40,500 - £42,500
* Senior Lecturer: £49,000 - £54,000
