Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Essex, who are seeking an Audit Senior to join their growing and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced auditor looking to take the next step in their career, gain exposure to a diverse client base, and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services.
Key responsibilities of the Audit Senior:
1. Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
2. Reviewing and supervising the work of junior and semi-senior staff.
3. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and audit files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing clear guidance and support.
5. Identifying and communicating audit risks and findings to senior management.
6. Assisting with ad hoc accounts and audit-related projects as required.
The ideal Audit Senior will have:
7. 2 years’ experience in a similar audit senior role within a UK practice environment.
8. ACA/ACCA qualified (or near completion).
9. Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
10. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
11. A proactive, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
