NHS Highland In-Reach Social Work Team has a vacancy for a Senior Social Worker; this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to join a busy Social Work team which facilitate discharges from hospital either into long term care or back to their own homes with support.
The Senior Social Worker will support the Social Work Team Manager to manage and deliver leadership on professional issues for the Social Work Team; the workload includes some staff supervision, workload allocation in partnership with the Team Manager to ensure the proactive oversight the waiting lists and the prioritizing of work. Senior Social Workers also hold a small case load of complex cases and have a Nominated Officer role in Adult Support and Protection.
Candidates should have a suitable professional Social Work qualification and be registered with the SSSC. They should also be able to demonstrate extensive statutory social work experience which has involved working in the care, support and protection of vulnerable people.
NHS Highland offers a supportive professional Social Work working environment with an emphasis on learning and development and robust levels of supervision and support, including peer support. We would welcome applications from Social Workers who are interesting in developing their practice into Social Work leadership and management.
