Production Manager - The Opportunity
We are seeking a Production Manager to join an established manufacturing business, to be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the factory. The client works in a highly regulated sector and this individual will be responsible for improving manufacturing performance and quality in all areas as well as the management of a small production team, machine shop, test department and stores..
Production Manager - Key Responsibilities
Full completion of all orders ahead of agreed delivery dates
Capacity planning and scheduling of production resources
Improving efficiency and productivity of production staff
Regularly creating detailed performance and analysis reports
Improving quality and consistency of work undertaken
Promoting lean manufacturing techniques and a culture of continuous improvement
Managing and motivating production staff
Develop staff through coaching and performance mentoring
Production Manager - About You
Experienced in a Production Management position with in a manufacturing environment (ideally electro-mechanical)
Hands on knowledge of small batch production as its highly specialised equipment so its a continually changing environment.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques, in particular 5S, Six Sigma and process analysis
Ability to read and interpret engineering and electrical drawings and resolve technical and production issues
Strong people manager with the ability to motivate a team
Confident, professional with excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
