NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh City, East Lothian, Midlothian, and West Lothian. We are the second largest health system in NHS Scotland and one of only four Teaching Boards. We have strategic partnerships with Local Universities, Local Authorities, and our four Integration Joint Boards. We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of Primary, Community-Based, and Acute Hospital Services. We also provide regional and national services across various clinical specialties.
The vision for the Pharmacy & Medicines Service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian receive optimal care from their medicines and pharmacy services. We aim to create an environment where each team member can flourish, develop, and utilize their skills effectively.
We are recruiting highly motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Pharmacy Technicians to work on an ad-hoc, flexible basis within our pharmacy team. Both short-term and long-term opportunities are available.
You will work with our teams to provide high-quality care in settings such as acute hospitals, mental health facilities, community hospitals, or primary care within GP practices. There may also be opportunities to support project work. The diverse range of services offers an excellent environment to consolidate your experience, acquire new knowledge, and develop skills, often leading to permanent employment.
