Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations during service.
Manage food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to specification and served promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and best practices.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Uphold food safety standards by ensuring proper storage, handling, and preparation of ingredients.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is crucial for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
Previous experience in managing kitchen operations is highly desirable.
