We are seeking an inspirational SEMH Maths Teacher to join our nurturing and forward-thinking team in Kings Norton, working with pupils from Reception through to Year 6 who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including those with complex learning profiles.
About the Role
You will:
Deliver engaging and accessible maths lessons across the primary age range (EYFS-KS2).
Adapt and personalise the curriculum to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH and complex needs.
Foster emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience through creative, hands-on learning.
Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team - including therapists, support staff, and families - to ensure a holistic approach to each child's progress.
Create a safe, structured, and caring classroom where every child feels valued and capable.
About You
You are:
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in SEMH and SEND education.
Skilled in differentiating maths content for a wide range of abilities.
Calm, patient, and reflective, with excellent behaviour management strategies.
Passionate about trauma-informed and relational approaches to teaching.
Eager to be part of a supportive, dynamic team making a real difference every day.
