Insurance Operations Technical Analyst
Cheltenham (Hybrid c. 2 days/week)
£55,000-£60,000 plus 10% max bonus
We are recruiting an Insurance Operations Technical Analyst on behalf of a confidential client within the UK insurance / reinsurance sector.
This role sits within Operations and provides technical expertise across the full insurance lifecycle, supporting scheme participants, internal teams, and outsourced providers. You will act as a subject matter expert, with responsibility for operational controls, data quality, claims support, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
Provide technical support across onboarding, eligibility, and claims settlement processes
Monitor operational controls, risks, and service performance against agreed standards
Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
Track operational performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Support data quality improvements and systems development activity
Contribute to audits, regulatory obligations, and risk management activity Key experience required:
Insurance or reinsurance operations experience
Strong understanding of underwriting, claims, and bordereaux processes
Experience working with controls, operating procedures, and third-party suppliers
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to use data to support operational decision-making and improvement
