The Opportunity:
We are looking for a technician to participate in research that aims to create a new yeast-based “cell factory” for production of high-value, hard-to-make biopharmaceuticals. The project is funded by the BBSRC and Fulifilm Diosynth Biotech and will be based in the research groups of Professors Giovanni Stracquadanio and Paul Barlow within the Schools of Biological Sciences and Chemistry.
Your skills and attributes for success:
1. A degree in a relevant subject
2. Experience of working in a molecular biology research laboratory
3. Familiarity with recombinant DNA methodology
4. Knowledge of recombinant protein production in microbial (bacteria or yeast) hosts
5. A passion for team work and supporting cutting-edge research
