Acorn Day Nursery is a little nursery based in the beautiful countryside just south of St Andrews. Our emphasis is on safe outdoor play (we have our very own forest) and, health and well-being.
Our nursery is getting busier and busier, so we are looking to recruit to add to our little team of hard working and dedicated staff who are always on hand to support our children with innovative play and learning opportunities.
While every nursery has national ratios to adhere to at Acorn Day Nursery we strive to exceed these ratios on a daily basis and we believe that this provides a better play and learning experience for our children, allows for more focused group work in small settings like our well resourced sensory room and enhances our forest day experiences.
In addition it supports our staff team to be able to complete their administration tasks, something we continually try and strip back as Early Years has too much paperwork.
We believe that the main focus of our team should be working with our children as much as possible.
We pride ourselves on creating a home from home environment for our children and love them as if they were our own children. Cuddles are a big part of our nursery day.
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified practitioner in our under 3's room to cover to help support a busy and dynamic room. We purposely overstaff our under 3's room to be able to support our youngest children and to provide some fabulous play and learning opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience of nursery life on a farm.
