Sky is looking to hire a hands-on Senior Java Developer to join our UK&I Technology team. In this role you will design, build, deploy software that is used at the forefront of the television broadcasting industry, that reaches millions of customers worldwide.
As a Senior Java developer you will:
1. Serve as a technical role model, leading innovative and continuous improvement initiatives across distributed software systems.
2. Provide technical leadership, driving the development and maintenance of cutting-edge software applications while guiding project discussions.
3. Collaborate with product management to align engineering activities.
4. Play an important role in technical decision-making, conducting code reviews, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining an active role as a code contributor to inspire the standards in others.
5. Mentor and coach engineers to help them progress in their careers.
