The Opportunity at a Glance: Graduate SEN Support Assistant Job Title: Graduate SEN Support Assistant Location: Barnet, North London Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time (term-time only) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Duration: Until July 2026 (with possible extension) Weekly Pay: Up to £540 (depending on experience and qualifications) Your Responsibilities Will Include: Graduate SEN Support Assistant Offering 1:1 support to pupils with learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs Assisting with in-class activities, adapting lessons to meet pupils' needs Supporting small group interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, and social skills Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to track progress Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere What We're Looking For: Graduate SEN Support Assistant A graduate with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related subject A real passion for supporting children with additional learning needs Any prior experience working with children or young people is highly valued (e.g. schools, mentoring, volunteering, coaching) Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure A team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn About the School: Graduate SEN Support Assistant This welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet is known for its strong community feel and dedication to pupil wellbeing.
