Facilities Maintenance Technician
6 month contract, high possibility of extensions
Base pay range
$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Site Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive support and solutions for internal customer requests at Analog Devices (ADI).
* Primary location: ADI site in Edinburgh, UK. Additional work may occur at other ADI locations, including booth setup for local job fairs, external facilities, and large meetings held in nearby hotels.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams (customers, IT, security, facilities) and external stakeholders (landlords, contractors).
* Oversee site contractors to ensure maintenance and repair of equipment under service agreements.
* Recommend cost‑effective solutions aligned with company management’s identified needs.
Specific Tasks
* Coordinate and communicate across departments for project planning and issue resolution.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of universal waste (batteries, lamps, e‑waste) and fire safety protocols.
* Liaise with contractors and city inspectors as required.
* Monitor and maintain critical systems including CDA, HVAC, and UPS.
* Perform routine maintenance: weekly flushing of low‑use taps, monthly water temperature checks, monthly emergency light testing.
* Handle general maintenance tasks such as furniture assembly and adjustments.
* Prepare scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates.
* Compile Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation including drawings and scopes.
* Manage bidding process: solicit bids, conduct job walks, evaluate proposals.
* Submit proposals to the ADI Facilities Coordinator.
* Conduct punch‑list reviews, site audits, and ensure project completion.
* Provide weekly activity reports to ADI Facilities.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
* Associate degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
* Strong command of English (spoken, written, and comprehension).
* Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment.
* Commitment to quality and safety.
* Self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
* Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Physical Requirements
* Maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
* Bend, stoop, kneel, and lift objects as needed.
* Climb ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and stairs.
* Carry and push items using upper body strength.
* Walk long distances across the site.
