Overview
We are recruiting Casual Social Care Workers at Caerphilly County Borough Council. This position is located in Adult Respite Services – Caerphilly and Blackwood. Working hours are 0 hours and the Contract Type is Casual/Relief. Team: Adult Services.

Responsibilities
* Provide support across the organization within Respite Services at Montclaire (Blackwood) and Ty-Gwilym (Caerphilly).
* Provide short-term breaks for individuals with physical and learning disabilities, encouraging choice, community presence and personal development.
* Help individuals explore new experiences, build social skills, and form friendships in a supportive environment.
* Support empowerment and meaningful interactions to improve quality of life for service users.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Requirement to achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within an agreed timescale.
* An understanding of the principles that underpin a quality care environment (privacy, dignity, respect, choice, independence and rights).
* Experience with people who require support and assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily living and social skills.
* Ability to work shifts on a rota basis, and work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in duties.
