What’s the Job?
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Early Learning & Childcare professional to join the Education Team as a Lecturer in the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning programmes in a college that aims to be one step ahead.
You will support learners in achieving qualifications across a range of levels of further and higher education programmes, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to progress their study and succeed in their Early Learning & Childcare careers.
Who we’re looking for
You will be an empathetic, positive, and motivated individual with up-to-date knowledge of the Early Years Sector. You should have a minimum of five years’ experience working in an Early Years setting, including at least two years in an Early Years management role.
You will have enthusiasm and commitment to guide learners in progressing their careers or further study, increasing their employability, and supporting their personal development. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential to inspire and educate our learners, who are at the heart of everything we do.
You must be able to manage your workload, meet deadlines, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good IT skills are also essential.
You should hold a suitable Early Years qualification at SCQF Level 7 (e.g., HNC/HC) or above, recognized by the SSSC (Scottish Social Service Council) as a manager/lead practitioner. While a Further Education teaching qualification is desirable, full support will be provided to achieve this for the successful candidate.
The majority of your time will be based on campus to support your development into the role; thereafter, some activities can be carried out remotely.
