Care experience is welcomed, but not essential, as you will receive full training. Start: September 2025 Primary Location: Cambridge University(Hughes Hall) - CB1 2EW Shift Pattern: Live-in 7 days on / 7 days off Pay: £285 per day = £1,995 p/w Accommodation will be provided whilst on shift Our client is looking for a like-minded personal assistant (PA) to support her independence while living on campus. Someone who can be both a professional support and a positive presence in her daily life. This role will primarily be a live-in position in Cambridge during term time, but with the opportunity to provide ongoing support during the holidays at her home in Guildford, Surrey. We are ideally looking for a PA who is able to cover both locations, however our priority is live-in term time support in Cambridge to enable her to attend university. About the Job Our client is looking forward to moving to university with the support of like-minded individuals to assist her with: Health Care Social Support Daily Living Housekeeping / Domestic duties Admin Support (Emails, Phone calls etc) Commuting About our Client Our client is a creative individual who likes to keep busy with activities such as embroidery, painting or baking. She currently lives in her family home based in Guildford but is extremely excited to begin her university journey. Ideally, our client is looking for a PA who is able to provide care during term time and also at the clients home in Guildford during the holidays. However, applicants that are only able to cover the term time, live-in position in Cambridge are still encouraged to apply. Training will be provided in Guildford before the start of term to ensure you are fully confident delivering care. As written by her My disability is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which is a connective tissue disorder that causes very flexible joints, stretchy skin, dysmotility throughout my digestive system and autonomic issues. I am also autistic and have ADHD. These affect many areas of my life, including in social situations, coping with change, pain and fatigue, and mean that I need support in order to live independently. However, I am also a determined and hardworking student, who is excited to study a subject I am incredibly passionate about in September. I am also a creative person who loves being in nature and having new adventures. I value inclusivity, especially surrounding autism acceptance, disability and the LGBTQ community. In my free time I enjoy crafting (like embroidery and painting), hanging out with my friends and listening to audiobooks/ podcasts.
