This 3-year post will initially focus on three priority projects: The Old School Centre (TOSC) Refurbishment Project – multi-phase refurbishment and reallocation of building users. Community Woodland Project – late-stage design through to early delivery. Community Power Generation Feasibility Project – project scoping and feasibility planning for a new renewable energy scheme. Organisational Structure The Project Manager will operate within the team structure at HCDT. While the post holder will be line managed by the Trust’s Business Manager, they will operate within the wider framework of the Trust’s Community Development Plan, under the strategic oversight of the Trust’s Development Officer, and specific project plans under the oversight of senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans for TOSC, Woodland, and Energy projects, and other projects as they arise in the lifecycle of the Trust. Coordinate procurement, contracts, and contractor relationships in line with HCDT policies. Ensure quality, cost, and programme objectives are achieved. Identify and mitigate risks, maintaining project risk registers. Financial Management Manage project budgets within approved allocations. Monitor and report on expenditure, ensuring compliance with funder conditions. Prepare financial updates for the Business Manager and Trustees Stakeholder Engagement Act as liaison for funders, statutory agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders. Lead community consultation to ensure projects reflect local needs. Produce clear updates for Trustees, funders, and the wider community. Reporting & Administration Provide monthly progress reports to the Project Board and Trustees. Prepare final reports on project completion, including lessons learned. Maintain project documentation in line with HCDT governance requirements. Strategic Contribution Support the Business Manager and Development Officer in identifying new opportunities for funding and development within the portfolio of assigned projects. Contribute to shaping future phases of community regeneration, including feasibility work for renewables and other projects.
