IT Systems Engineer - 2nd / 3rd Line Support - Law Firm An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems Engineer (2nd / 3rd line) to join a small and ambitious London-based law firm that is growing rapidly and investing heavily in best-in-class technology. This is a broad and varied role where you'll play a significant part in a tight-knit IT team. Acting as the technical escalation point for the support team, you'll work closely with the Head of IT across infrastructure, applications, and networks, as well as getting hands-on involvement in a strong pipeline of projects, including major system implementations such as iManage and Elite 3E. Key Responsibilities Act as the escalation point for 2nd / 3rd line issues across the business (hardware, software, applications, cloud, and networking). Take ownership of Intune configuration and device management, ensuring smooth rollout and administration of laptops and mobile devices. Support and maintain the firm's Azure-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Intune-managed devices. Provide networking and security support, including WiFi, firewalls, and VPNs. Deliver and support IT projects working closely with the Head of IT Implement and maintain security, patching, and disaster recovery practices. Monitor and optimise system performance to ensure reliability and high availability Collaborate with external vendors and service providers, maintaining documentation and processes. Required Experience Solid experience in a 2nd / 3rd line support or systems role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure, Exchange, and Office 365. Experience with Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop. Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, WiFi, firewalls). Exposure to legal applications such as iManage, Elite 3E, Intapp, Novaplex (desirable but not essential). Proactive, personable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team.
