About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Project Director to lead the successful delivery of two flagship Build to Rent (BTR) developments in Watford and Milton Keynes, each comprising approximately 300 apartments within high rise reinforced concrete frame structures. The combined construction value is £150 million.
Reporting to the Regional Construction Director, you will hold overall responsibility for the safe, profitable, and timely delivery of both projects; managing multi-disciplinary site teams, driving performance, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clear leadership, strategic direction, and motivation to project delivery teams across both sites
* Oversee all aspects of the projects including design management, procurement, construction, quality, and handover
* Maintain close control of programme, cost, and risk to ensure delivery to budget and timescale
* Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance are achieved
* Manage and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
* Drive excellence in delivery, with a focus on quality workmanship, compliance, and client satisfaction
* Lead progress reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance reviews
* Foster a collaborative culture between site teams, supply chain, and head office support functions
About You
* Demonstrable experience as Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering major high-rise residential schemes (£50m+)
* Strong technical background in RC frame construction and multi-phase developments
* Proven track record working for a main contractor
* Commercially and contractually astute (experience with Design & Build contracts essential)
* Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
