Offer description

Write a short description of your company, a boilerplate of the business, service or product that you offer. Include your business idea and the target audience. This text is primarily supposed to be descriptive, not selling.

A respected faith secondary school in Walsall is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join its Science department from April. This is a rewarding opportunity to teach in a school that combines strong academic expectations with a supportive, values-driven ethos.

The school has a positive reputation within the local community and is known for its structured learning environment, strong pastoral care, and commitment to helping students achieve their academic potential. The Science department is well-established, and Physics plays an important role in the school’s STEM provision.

-----------------------------------

What This Role Will Involve

As a Physics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop a strong understanding of core scientific principles. There may also be the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience and subject expertise.

Your teaching will focus on making Physics accessible and relevant, helping students to connect theory with practical application. The department encourages the use of demonstrations, investigations, and interactive learning to build curiosity and confidence among learners.

You will be responsible for planning lessons that meet curriculum expectations, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching strategies to support different learning needs. Maintaining a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and engagement will also be central to your role.

-----------------------------------

Key Areas of Responsibility

This role includes delivering lessons that align with national curriculum standards and preparing students for internal assessments and external examinations. You will monitor student achievement, provide feedback to support improvement, and identify pupils who may benefit from additional support or challenge.

Working collaboratively with colleagues will form an important part of your responsibilities. This includes sharing resources, attending departmental meetings, and contributing to curriculum planning activities.

You may also support extracurricular opportunities such as science clubs, revision sessions, or STEM-related events that encourage students to explore science beyond the classroom.

-----------------------------------

About the School

This faith secondary school in Walsall provides a supportive and respectful environment where values and education work hand in hand. Students are encouraged to demonstrate responsibility, kindness, and determination in their learning.

The school maintains high expectations for both academic performance and behaviour. Staff benefit from a collaborative working culture and a leadership team that values professional growth and staff wellbeing.

Facilities within the Science department are well maintained, allowing teachers to deliver engaging practical lessons that support deeper learning.

-----------------------------------

What the School Is Looking For

The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge in Physics and a genuine passion for teaching science. You should be confident explaining complex ideas clearly and supporting students to build confidence in their understanding of Physics concepts.

The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and early career teachers who are committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Strong organisational skills, effective classroom management, and a collaborative mindset will be important qualities for success.

An understanding of, or willingness to support, the values of a faith-based school environment will also be beneficial.
