Our client is looking for an experienced furniture maker with a genuine interest in cabinet making and woodwork manufacturing. The ideal individual should have a strong background within the making of furniture, not just fitting. Furniture Maker Job Overview Apply appropriate joinery techniques to assemble furniture from technical drawings Effectively and efficiently use traditional woodworking machinery including but not limited: planer thicknesser, spindle moulder, wide belt sander, veneer press. Produce high quality furniture products in line with exceptional company standards. Set out and accurately size sheet materials and solid timber from cutting lists. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Furniture Maker Job Requirements 2 or more years' experience as a furniture maker. Experience as a furniture maker or in a workshop environment. Experience with laminating, veneering and edge banding preferrable but not required. Good knowledge of workshop machinery and safe practices. Read and understand technical drawings. Experience working with a wide range of materials such as MDF, real wood veneers, solid wood & MFC.
