The role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Control Engineer to lead our Service Control Engineers. The successful candidate will manage a team of Control Engineers in providing Technical Support & aftersales care for RIHC’s products in the Offshore Energy sector; ensuring clients’ needs are met professionally and promptly.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing a small team of Control Engineers.
* Providing technical support, investigating, and resolving control system issues across RIHC products.
* Implementing upgrades and updates to existing RIHC equipment.
* Supporting customers in their service needs and resolving technical issues efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction.
* Managing and prioritizing the workload for engineers.
* Delivering work to high standards in line with quality control procedures.
Job requirements:
* Strong engineering background with thorough knowledge of control, automation, and safety systems and equipment.
* Relevant qualification (degree/HND) or comparable industrial experience.
* Experience in designing control and automation systems, programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, and supporting industrial control systems throughout project lifecycle.
* Management and development experience with a small team of engineers.
* Experience working with clients in marine, subsea, oil & gas, and renewables sectors.
* Recent experience in a similar role providing service support in a bespoke engineering environment.
* Ability to work at RIHC’s Port of Blyth and at various client sites worldwide.
* Experience working to ISO9001 or similar standards.
* Proficiency with IT systems and tools.
* Experience with Siemens TIA Portal / Unified (preferred), Rockwell, Mitsubishi platforms.
* Experience configuring and commissioning variable speed drives (Siemens, Nidec, ABB).
* Previous experience in marine, offshore, or subsea environments.
* Knowledge of relevant safety standards (IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC13849).
