Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Remote-based with travel across England
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week)

Role Overview
We're seeking a passionate Instructor in Polymer Processing to join our Science Academy team. In this role, you’ll deliver engaging training sessions, support apprentices through their learning journey, and create innovative content aligned with industry standards. You’ll play a key part in ensuring learners reach their full potential and are fully prepared for end-point assessment—all while helping shape the future of polymer processing in the UK.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality instruction and 1:1 coaching to apprentices both online and in-person Develop new content aligned with apprenticeship standards and embedded qualifications Track learner progress using the OneFile e-portfolio system Provide developmental feedback, guidance and challenge to apprentices Collaborate with the Science Academy team to expand client networks and drive growth Conduct assessments and contribute to curriculum development Support and mentor new instructors and contribute to quality assurance processes Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusivity in all areas of teaching Stay current with industry developments and maintain occupational competence Participate in CPD, open evenings, recruitment events, and outreach initiatives
Key Skills/Requirements
Degree in Polymer Science or related field (Master’s or PhD desirable) Relevant teaching or assessing qualification (PGCE, PTLLS, CTLLS, CET) Minimum 4 years’ experience in a polymer manufacturing environment Strong understanding of polymer apprenticeship standards Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills Confident in delivering differentiated content to meet varied learner needs Flexible with working hours and travel requirements Familiarity with OneFile and online learning platforms is an advantage Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle #J-18808-Ljbffr
